Firestone Giant Makes Tracks in Denmark

It was only a matter of time before the world’s largest agricultural radial tyre ever produced would be put to work in the field. And as it turns out, the honour of the first European fitment of the new Firestone 850/75R42 sized DT23 goes to Denmark.

Kristian Kappel of the family-run Brunshøjgaard farm in Thy, Denmark first came into contact with the tyre at a local agricultural show in June 2013. Once convinced of the Firestone DT23’s superior performance and efficiency, it took just a few short weeks to deliver and install all four tyres, together with customised rims to fit the farm’s Steiger 450, all in time for harvest.

New Firestone Maxi Traction Combine

Firestone has launched the new Maxi Traction Combine to comply with today’s farmers’ needs: a reliable tyre to avoid downtime during harvesting season, with very high load capacity for ever-heavier harvesting machinery, and causing minimum impact on the soil.

With the worldwide trend of increased size of agricultural machinery, load capacity is key for combine tyres. The Firestone Maxi Traction Combine tyres are built to sustain grain tanks with a capacity of up to 12,500 litres. Reinforced casing helps withstand these loads.

Firestone is inviting visitors to explore its new European Agricultural Tyres website. The introduction of the website marks the successful product renewal of the Firestone Agricultural range of the past months with recent launches of the Maxi Traction IF series, Maxi Traction for Combines and the Performer series for Row Crop.

Created with user experience firmly in mind, the website has been designed using the latest technology in order to provide improved navigation and functionality throughout. Extinzându-şi strategia de a oferi fermierilor anvelope ce îmbunătăţesc eficienţa agricolă, Firestone a lansat seria Performer pentru culturi pe rânduri.

Noile anvelope sunt proiectate pentru a oferi eficienţă maximă pe câmp şi pe şosea, prin capacitatea lor mare de încărcare şi indicii mari de viteză, permiţându-le astfel fermierilor să utilizeze rezervoare mari şi să economisească timp la operaţiunile de stropire.

Anvelopele agricole Firestone Maxi Traction IF

Teste independente efectuate în 2012 în Belgia şi Germania dovedesc superioritatea generală a anvelopelor agricole Firestone Maxi Traction IF în ceea ce priveşte tracţiunea şi ritmul de lucru. Testele de tracţiune care compară Maxi Traction IF cu trei competitori principali, inclusiv mărci de anvelope de renume din Europa, arată faptul că anvelopele Firestone au cea mai mică rată de alunecare ¹ – rezultând o tracţiune mai puternică. Testele efectuate pe câmp confirmă, de asemenea, capacitatea mai mare de lucru a Maxi Traction, arătând un ritm de lucru pe suprafeţe mai mari ² decât a celor trei competitori.

Acelaşi program de testare arată faptul că Maxi Traction IF are o amprentă de anvelopă peste medie, adăugând beneficiul compactării reduse a solului la performanţa sa de top în ceea ce priveşte tracţiunea.

Firestone vine la expoziţia SIMA 2013 International Agri-Business din Paris din 24 până în 28 februarie cu câteva din cele mai recente inovaţii pentru o agricultură mai eficientă. Firestone la EIMA International 2012

Bridgestone plănuieşte o prezenţă de succes a anvelopelor sale pentru agricultură marca Firestone la târgul internaţional EIMA 2012 din Bologna, Italia, din 7 până în 11 noiembrie.

Modernul stand Firestone de 201 m² amenajat pe două etaje (sala 36 - locaţia A11) este bine poziţionat între mai mulţi producători de tractoare.

Anvelope radiale pentru tractoare Firestone Performer 65

Firestone şi-a extins familia de anvelope radiale Performer cu lansarea în Europa a Performer 65 pentru tractoare de mărime medie în aplicaţii generale de agricultură.

Performer 65 oferă fermierilor avantajele unei viteze mai mari (până la 70 km/h), capacitate de a transporta încărcături mari la peste 20 km/h, confort sporit la condus şi compactare mai redusă a solului faţă de populara anvelopă Firestone R9000 Evo pe care o înlocuieşte, menţinând în acelaşi timp tracţiunea de nivel înalt a predecesorului său, autocurăţarea şi rezistenţa la tăiere.

Aplicaţie smartphone pentru presiunea anvelopelor

Firestone a introdus o aplicaţie gratuită pentru iPhone în Europa, pentru a ajuta fermierii să menţină presiunea potrivită pentru anvleopele tractoarelor. Atunci când aplicaţia “Tyre Pressure Calculator” (Calculator presiune anvelopă) este descărcată, utilizatorii selectează simplu dimensiunea anvelopei şi vizualizează apoi presiunea corectă a anvelopei pentru încărcătura şi viteza tractorului.

Operarea unui tractor la o presiune incorectă scurtează durata de viaţă a anvelopei şi poate creşte inutil compactarea solului, ceea ce reduce productivitatea culturilor. Atunci cand se schimbă tipul activităţii agricole (de exemplu, între lucrul pe câmp şi transportul pe şosea), aplicaţia poate ajuta fermierii să maximizeze durata de viaţă a anvelopei prin ajustarea la presiunea recomandată pentru anvelopă.
